A93 was created for 9 Lives in 2017, a unique design event where 9 designers (lives) express their take on furniture design for cats in urban, living spaces. It aims to showcase how good design can improve experiences and cultivate a deeper appreciation for quality design.

and the cat whispered, build me a temple of sorts

Captivated by the idea of animals on a roof exploring from high and the idea of a sanctuary of rest for our fur-line companions in the modern home, became the starting point for the project where i seek references from traditional and modern architecture to explore of relationships between man and our four legged feline friends.

A93 is designed with the flat pack in mind and is made up of mostly extrusion profiles, powdered coated for durability and 

accented with copper details that can be interchanged to allow for personalization.

Once our goal of SGD 111,000 is reached, the funds will be used to cover design production on a much larger scale, alongside assembly, packaging, shipping and distribution to your doors (and cats). They also provide for the hardworking production team working behind the project!  5% of each cat tree sold will be contributed to www.catwelfaresociety.org, an animal welfare organisation based in Singapore providing much needed assistance to local street cats. 

With your help, together we can make original and thoughtful cat furniture design a reality. Pieces that not only look beautiful as a centrepiece in your home, but also something that you and your cat can enjoy together.

In order for the A93 to materlize, critical mass and minimum quantity to commercialise the pieces, although our manufacturing partners have kindly agreed to reduced minimum orders, the number of pieces that needs to be ordered upfront is still a challenge to fufill on my own as an individual designer with limited financial resources. I'll need your love for beautiful things to make the dream a reality and be a partner together in this journey to both creating a temple of residence for our furline gods and raising funds for cat welfare!
